Hot chocolate with picatostes

In 1947 a family from Madrid on holiday here asked the old Hotel Royal for picatostes to go with their chocolate. When the hotel closed in 1976 the recipe passed to other houses in the village, never written down. Piedra keeps it: rested candeal bread, fried and coated in sugar and cinnamon. Churros too.
